An Introduction to Galleri Tegn on Strynø - Kirkestrædet 5

The Galleri was started in 2018 to sell and promote the artwork of local Strynø artists. The owner at that time, Birgit Berggreen, was an established artist whose paintings and commitment to like minded creatives kept the gallery open and inviting.
The Galleri today is somewhat different - less commercial and more focused on introducing programmes which challenge us, as islanders, and hopefully visitors from further afield. We propose to hold exhibitions which stimulate our interest in art, workmanship and subjects of topical interest from the small islands of Denmark. This can be of contemporary or historical content. You will see a cross-section from last year's exhibitions and those planned for this year, to give you an idea - from the artistic excitement of our school children, to the work of inspiring printmakers, to the story of wooden boats sailing the waters of the archipelago, to islanders’ mementoes with their descriptive stories…
You are very welcome to visit and hopefully feel inspired by what you see, hear and do on this beautiful island and be sure to pass through Galleri Tegn.
